What We Liked

The Funnel Templates Are Actually Good

ClickFunnels comes with 100+ pre-built funnel templates. Not just “starting points” — fully designed, conversion-optimized flows.

We used the “Affiliate Marketing Bootcamp” funnel as our base. Customized it in 4 hours. Would have taken 2 weeks from scratch.

If you’re not a designer, this alone is worth the price.

A/B Testing Built In

Split testing is native — no third-party tools needed. We tested:

Our landing page ranked on page 2 of Google for our target keyword. That’s not because ClickFunnels pages are bad for SEO — it’s because funnels are built for paid traffic and email lists, not organic search.

Know the difference before you build.

Backend Is Dated

The dashboard and editor feel older than modern SaaS tools. Not broken — just dated.

Comparing ClickFunnels’ UI to ConvertKit or Thinkific feels like a generation behind.

Who It’s For

Good fit:

• Affiliate marketers with existing traffic
• Course creators with an email list
• Anyone doing product launches
• Paid traffic campaigns (Facebook, Pinterest ads)

Not ideal:

• SEO-focused content sites (build in WordPress instead)
• Beginners without an audience
• Low-budget operations starting from zero

The Math

At $99/mo, you need to generate affiliate commissions that exceed that:

• Recommend Jasper AI ($90/sale): need 1.1 sales/month to break even
• Recommend ConvertKit ($30/sale): need 3.3 sales/month to break even
